David joined Yorkshire Netball in late 2024 as Safeguarding Lead.

With a long career in HR in various sectors, he most recently led on HR for an Academy Trust in North Yorkshire.

Working closely with the CEO and Headteachers at the Trust in all areas of HR within secondary and primary education, he has experience of working collaboratively with the Trust Board on a variety of areas including governance and safeguarding. He's also been involved in working practically to support school leaders to ensure safeguarding compliance in recruitment and selection, and where required operationally.

Now semi-retired, he recently relocated to Scarborough with his wife and daughter where he enjoys running, cycling and the ongoing renovation (!) of their victorian flat.
